ABOUT
About
GIDPC was founded in 2021 to transfer the academic capability of Seoul National University's Green Infrastructure Lab (GE Lab) into industry practice.
Mission
Use engineering and AI to quantify the disaster-response capacity of green infrastructure and strengthen urban climate resilience.
Vision
Establish 'green-infrastructure disaster prevention' as a discipline and set a Korean standard for climate-crisis response.
CEO
Junsuk Kang
Professor at the Department of Landscape Architecture & Rural Systems Engineering, Seoul National University, and Director of the Green Infrastructure Engineering Lab (GE Lab). He earned his B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Korea University and his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Auburn University. After serving as Assistant Professor at Georgia Southern University, he joined SNU in 2017. His work — spanning urban micro-meteorology, hydrology, AI surrogate models, street-tree safety, and rural AI/sensor applications — has produced 64 SCI(E) publications. He also serves as an advisor to the Incheon Urban Planning Committee and Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation, and previously as Secretary-General of the Korean Institute of Landscape Architecture.
